God Bless America

So I was determined to go to bed early since my week long job of being a nanny to my sweet Crews and Addie is a little more tiring (and more fun) than I had anticipated BUT I am just feeling so loved on by Jesus that I wanted to blog! This way when I am in Africa and feeling pitiful, I can come back and read this post.

Last week, I was feeling a little extra insecure and without going through my roller coaster of female emotions in a nutshell I was really questioning myself, my heart, my abilities and having my first of what I'm sure will be many mild panic attacks about leaving....

The more I get to know Jesus the more I am convinced that He has the best sense of humor because right when I started to throw myself a pity party He made me feel like the most loved girl in the whole world.

My shower of Jesus love started when Karen (my incredible mother) bought me flowers and then the very next day my person Stephanie came into town!! Stephanie is a gem, if you don't know her then you should try to get to know her because she is fun and pretty and makes you feel like the most special person in the world when she talkes to you!

Read Stephanie's blog here: http://tousledthoughtsandhappenings.blogspot.com/

Steph and my mom played along and let me have an "All-American Weekend". They even appeased me in their wardrobe choices and wore Red, White, and Blue! ANNND they let me pretend Starbucks counts as a real meal

Plus I got to go to a baseball game, America's favorite past time! I love the Braves and it was the perfect afternoon to tomahawk chop my team to victory! Someone really wise told me that when you are in loved you use instagram so here is a little preview of my date with the Braves.

These are just some of the highlights on how Jesus reminded me of His love for me this week.  Encouraging text messages/emails, hugs and kisses from Crews and Addie, quite times, and drives around Trenton with my sister were the icing on the cake!

I'm so grateful that Jesus entered earth and has had all of the emotions that come along with being hurt and rejected and all the fears that come along with making a big step. Praise Jesus we can come to Him in our weakness because He is so strong.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
